Norman began sketching and painting at an early age, and later in his early twenties studied fine art at the Glasgow School of Art, now considered one of Europe’s finest art institutes.

Norman spent many years painting in both oils and acrylics featuring mainly Still Life and Wildlife subjects.
Norman's 'Catnat Series' was particularly popular featuring both wild and domestic cats.

Norman spent 15 years as a website designer and database specialist but is now retired and spends most of his time fishing.

Norman now puts in some hours working part-time at Eastown Automotive, a local auto parts store. This was recommended by his medical professionals in an effort to get him away from his desk.
