Portraits
produced by conventional painting tecniques are very
expensive to produce.
Norman uses Corel Painter to produce his
PhotoArt. First he brings in the photograph then
has the program begin to lay in the underpainting. He
decides when to halt this process and take over adding
and blending details as necessary. He prefers to keep
the faces true to the photograph and the surrounding
details fairly loose so as to emphasize the face as
the focal point.
